Our Supply Partners

We roast coffee from single farms, estates and cooperatives. When we taste a coffee that we like, we want to know where it comes from and who grows, picks and processes it.  We travel extensively throughout the year, visiting the producers and cooperatives with whom we currently work and looking for interesting varietals of coffee and new farms from which to buy. During these visits we talk to farmers and cooperative members, learning more about the coffee they grow and process and the challenges that they face.

We then look to establish a relationship with the grower and exporter of that coffee. We believe that where such a relationship exists, quality, quantity and price requirements can be discussed in an open and equal way. We see this as sustainable, fair and equal trade. Full and sweet with fruity length and cocoa aftertaste. Our organic espresso is a combination of our certified coffees from Kaffa Forest (Ethiopia), Granja La Esperanza (Colombia) and Finca de Froilan Quispe (Bolivia).

Shibui Tea was set up over a few pots of tea with the simple philosophy of sourcing and sharing great quality tea. We have created a menu which covers a wide range of loose leaf tea with flavours to suit all palates.  With a choice of premium classics through to fun and modern concepts, Shibui’s tea drinkers can be assured of a consistent quality product they can trust.

We are a family run business – together with over 35 years of experience in the industry – with our head office split between the UK and Canada.  Two brothers run the operation – John in the UK and Paul in Canada.

Our teas are sourced from all over the world, primarily from China, Japan, India, Sri Lanka, Africa, and Taiwan.  Our locations in both the UK and Canada give us the ability to effectively service both the European and North American market places.

Karaway is a bakery unlike any other. Founded in London by a family with roots in Russia, Lithuania, Belarus and Ukraine, between us we have over 120 years of baking experience.

For us bread is more than just food, it’s part of a tradition that’s been handed down through countless generations. It’s a welcome to greet a friend or guest, a rite of passage, a vital part of life. At Karaway we are proud of our heritage. Everything we bake, we bake with love.

Bread is an important part of Russian and Lithuanian culture. We start with rye, a staple European grain, we use all natural ingredients, no preservatives and no additives. It’s a process that demands care and time: some of our bread takes ten times longer to make than an ordinary loaf, and that’s a difference you can taste.

If you love our bread you can buy it not just at the Organic Kitchen but at Westfield (Opposite John Lewis/Waitrose), Borough Market, Selfridges and Harrods.

Amanda, Chris and Denise are the Peelham Farm business partners (Cayley Walton Partners).  They have been in partnership since 1990.  Joining Amanda Cayley gave Chris and Denise Walton a chance to realise their dream to farm in their own right (Chris had previously worked on farms since his early teens while Denise had undertaken many a habitat and ecological assessment and restoration trekking miles of the countryside in doing so).  Joining Chris and Denise gave Amanda the chance to sit-back and relax – or at least that was the plan… you will never catch Amanda ‘sitting-back’ other than during Cheltenham Racing Week or Wimbledon (and a few sporting fixtures in-between)!  Amanda had farmed for 30 years in Co Kilkenny in the Republic of Ireland and has a great eye for livestock, great wisdom and a wonderful laugh!

The partnership has brought a creative vision to farming, loving and trusting Peelham; with their respective backgrounds in Landscape Ecology and Agricultural Economics Denise and Chris came with new ideas and methods, and together with Amanda and her wisdom the partnership have an energy to realise the opportunities in these ideas.  Chris is managing partner with responsibility for the farm and Denise is managing partner responsible for the butchery and food.  In practice there is alot of overlap between the farm and the butchery with the partners sharing jobs and challenges and solutions and many-a-laugh (and the odd cry!!)

The partnership believe that people are the most valuable resource to any business and are so lucky to have a great and dedicated team of skilled people around them (and fun too!!)
